Adjectives (けいようし）

　Adjective is a words to express the condition of noun.

Here are some examples.

あたらしい（atarashii)   new             ふるい（furui)  　　old

やさしい（yasashii)    easy               むずかしい（muzukashii)  difficult

あかい(akai)    red                            あおい（aoi)               blue

おおきい（ookii)   big                       ちいさい（chiisai)        small

きれいな（kireina) beautiful            きたない（kitanai)   dirty

おかしな（okashina)  funny              たいくつな（taikutuna)  boring

＊Japanese adjectives usually end with  - い（i)  or  -な（na).

Like English  we put adjectives before noun.

あたらしい　ほん（atarashii  hon)     　new book

あかい　りんご　（akai ringo)       red apple

Also we have this sentence form to use adjectives like English.

 This book is new.   この　ほんは　あたらしい　です。（kono hon wa atarashiidesu)
